The Dance of Life
“… I am large, I contain multitudes”. Walt Whitman
With these four words, Walt Whitman beautifully describes the “core” of human nature. I think that exploring and discovering these multitudes is The alchemical process that concerns each of us in our dynamic journey to embodiment of conscious awareness. Ultimately the internal environment I AM is equivalent to the external environment I AM.
Dr Rolf said: “I’m touching all levels and layers of being but the body is the only thing I can put my hands on”. Our inquiry starts to bring us into encountering PRESENCE in physical reality. Naturally there are subtle and strong forces that DANCE inside those multitudes. Some of these we can touch, some we can just sense. I find that the arcane can be seen, experienced and imagined.
We will play together to sense how the touch and the movement can let our inner universe manifest and transform, how we can discover it and reveal it to ourselves. And we will each do it in our own unique and individual way.
To paraphrase Pina Bausch: “I’m not interested in how a dancer moves but what moves him.”
